The food here is consistently fresh, flavorful, and prepared with care. Seafood: From the raw grill to tamarind, garlic, and salted egg sauces… everything pairs perfectly with the seafood. The seafood with huge size, clean, and there’s absolutely no fishy smell, which speaks volumes about the quality. I wish I remembered the names of the dishes we ordered, but trust me everything hits the spot! Hot Pot: We also had the Chilean Sea Bass hot pot. The fish was incredibly fresh. It shrinks a bit while cooking but stays juicy and tender. The broth is the real rich and flavorful, with fresh vegetables that round out the dish beautifully. Drinks: Highly recommend the Fresh Coconut and Kumquat Juice. Refreshing and the perfect match for the savory food. Quick tip: Get in line online via Yelp before you go. But don’t forget to check in with the receptionist when you arrive, or your turn might be skipped even if you’re physically there. The wait to get inside can be a little long, but once you’re seated, the food comes out pretty fast. Only downside? That long wait line makes me hesitate to come back too often, but honestly, the food is so good that it’s still worth it. Highly recommend!

I have been to this restaurant 5-6 times, and the food here is always good for me. The staff is very enthusiastic and friendly, the food is also prepared very quickly. Everything here is good, just sometimes too crowded but I will still come if I have the chance.

Foods is always good here. However, we were very disappointed that they no longer have banana blossom salad. Which we purposely came back for and we traveled from NYC. Dessert were given to us for free after our meal that was very good. Service and vibe are great and we will come back again. We had shaken beef with noodles, grilled scallops, mangoes salad, garlic snails, crabs fried rice. Foods are delicious.

Delicious food and usually go with a group to share dishes. My favorite this time was the crab with noodles and the fried whole fish. Sea snails are good too. Lychee Martini is my favorite drink here.

First visit to this Viennese restaurant in garden grove, and we are very impressed with the quality and freshness of the food we ordered. Some of the dishes we ordered, deep fried quails with house special sauce, not a lot of meat on the bird But the flavor was very good. We also ordered mango salad and it was very fresh and delicious. My favorite was the lobster with egg noodles. The lobster was very tender cooked perfectly not chewy at all and the flavor was very subtle and balanced. My wife’s favorite was the steamed prawns, enormous size it was super sweet and cooked to perfection. All and all this is a great place to enjoy all the authentic Vietnamese dishes. I will come back for more.

OC & Lau 2 in Garden Grove is a must-visit for lovers of authentic Vietnamese cuisine. Known as one of the most popular Vietnamese restaurants in Orange County, this spot impresses with its quick service, friendly staff, and a menu brimming with delicious options. We usually frequent the original location, but on a bustling Saturday afternoon, the wait was too long. Opting for OC & Lau 2 turned out to be a great choice. The modern decor is a noticeable upgrade from the original, offering a fresh and comfortable ambiance. We ordered a variety of their signature dishes, including pineapple fried rice, grilled escargot, stir-fried clams with Thai basil, morning glory, and a deep-fried whole fish. Each dish was uniquely flavored with generous amounts of garlic and basil, creating a flavorful and aromatic experience. The highlight for us was the deep-fried whole fish. It was perfectly cooked, with tender meat that paired wonderfully with the sweet and sour dipping sauce. The pineapple fried rice was equally delightful, while the escargot and clams delivered bold, savory flavors. We ended our meal with a tapioca and taro chè dessert—a sweet and satisfying way to cap off a fantastic lunch. Overall, OC & Lau 2 exceeded our expectations, providing a flavorful meal with efficient service. Whether you’re a fan of the original or a first-time visitor, this location offers a memorable dining experience.
